typ infračerveného detektoru, který zahrnuje jednonebo dvojrozměrné pole sestávající z mnoha individuálních citlivých prvků (označovaných jako „pixely“)

POZNÁMKA Detektory s maticí pixelů jsou typicky umístěny v ohniskové rovině přístroje. V termografii jsou použity obdélníkové nebo čtvercové FPA detektory v neskenovacích infračervených kamerách, které se označují jako IRFPA kamery.

NOTE Detector arrays are typically placed at the focal plane of an instrument. In thermography, rectangular or square FPAs are used in “staring” (non-scanning) infrared imagers. These are called IRFPA imagers.
