The SOLVIT System

If you encounter problems in the EU internal market resulting from the incorrect application of EU law by an authority in another Member State, you can contact SOLVIT, a network of “SOLVIT centers” connected via a special online database for the exchange of information in the EU internal market (IMI), which is managed by the European Commission. There is one such center in every EU Member State, as well as in Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland. These centers were established pursuant to Commission Recommendation 2013/461/EU on the principles governing the SOLVIT network. It is a tool that offers citizens and businesses from Member States an alternative to lengthy and often costly court proceedings or to filing a complaint with the European Commission.
