IEC International Standards

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a global organization that develops and publishes IEC International Standards and other types of documents (Technical Specifications (TS), Technical Reports (TR), Industry Technical Agreements (ITA), and Publicly Available Specifications (PAS)) in the field of electrotechnology and electronics. Technical work is carried out in technical committees, subcommittees, and working groups. It is possible to participate in the work of technical committees as active members (P-members—participating members), who are required to attend meetings and vote on documents, or as observers (O-members—observer members), who receive working documents and have the right, but not the obligation, to attend meetings and vote.
