Government Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment// Amendment No. 391/2016 Coll. effective as of December 31, 2016; exception, see No. II; the amendment implements Directive No. 2015/863/EU; extends the restrictions on DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP to medical devices (MDs), including in vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVD MDs), and to monitoring and control instruments, including industrial monitoring and control instruments, placed on the market from July 22, 2021// The Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a notice to manufacturers, authorized representatives of manufacturers, importers, and distributors of industrial monitoring and control instruments that Government Regulation No. 481/2012 Coll., as amended by Government Regulation No. 391/2016 Coll., will, effective July 22, 2017, also apply to this product subgroup of electrical equipment. // The amendment by Government Regulation No. 101/2018 Coll. has a phased entry into force and implements five EU directives: 2017/1009/EU, 2017/1010/EU, 2017/1011/EU, 2017/1975/EU, 2017/2102/EU. The first four directives introduce exemptions from the ban on excessive cadmium and lead content in electrical equipment for specific applications and for a precisely defined period; the last directive addresses the conditions for exemptions for reused spare parts obtained from WEEE, and excludes non-road mobile machinery with traction drive powered by an external source and pipe organs from the scope of Directive 2011/65/EU. From the perspective of the Interactive Database of Czech Legislative Regulations on Hazardous Substances in Construction Products, this is an insignificant change. // The amendment by Government Regulation No. 146/2019 Coll. has a phased entry into force; see Article II // The amendment by Government Regulation No. 121/2020 Coll. applies from May 1, 2020// The amendment by Government Regulation No. 344/2020 Coll. implements Directives (EU) 2020/364, (EU) 2020/365, (EU) 2020/366, (EU) 2020/360, and (EU) 2020/361, introduces new exemptions from the ban on lead, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium for specific applications, and limits the validity of these exemptions to a specified period; effective as of April 1, 2021 // Government Regulation No. 334/2021 Coll. takes effect on November 1, 2021; for exemptions, see Article II// Amendment by Government Regulation No. 120/2022 Coll. takes effect on May 21, 2022; for exceptions, see Article II; terminates existing exemptions for the use of mercury in discharge lamps; introduces new exemptions for the use of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), butylbenzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) in medical devices// Government Regulation No. 45/2023 Coll. applies from March 1, 2023// Amendment No. 241/2023 Coll. applies from September 1, 2023// The amendment by Government Regulation No. 10/2024 Coll. shall apply from February 1, 2024// The amendment by Government Regulation No. 224/2024 Coll. shall apply from August 1, 2024
